THRIVE Brown Beef Gravy

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp THRIVE Beef Bouillon
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Tomato Powder
- 1/2 Sprig Rosemary
- 4 Sprigs Thyme
- 1/2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 tsp THRIVE Chefs Choice
- 1/2 tsp Peppercorn
- 2 tsp Garlic, minced
- 4 C Water
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 5 Tbsp White Flour (All Purpose Unbleached Flour)
- 1/4 C THRIVE Chopped Onions
- 4 Tbsp Butter
- 3/4 C Red Wine
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, sweat garlic with olive oil until golden brown.
- Add onions and stir well.
- Deglaze pan quickly with red wine and allow to reduce by half.
- Add remaining ingredients except flour and butter and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Melt butter in a small skillet, add flour, and cook together until brown in color.
- Allow to cool and whisk into gravy to thicken.
- Simmer gravy for 3–4 more minutes and pour through a strainer before serving.
