A deliciously spiced pear pancake, perfect for autumn or any time of year. These disappear as fast as I can make them and serve four, or one very hungry teenage boy. They also make the house smell wonderful! by Joy Cochran

Ingredients
- 2/3 c. THRIVE Pears
- 1/2 c. Water
- 1 c. 10 Grain Pancake Mix
- 3/4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. Ground Cloves
- 1/4 tsp. Ground Ginger
- 1/8 tsp. Ground Allspice
- 1/8 tsp. Ground Cardamom
- 1/4 c. Brown Sugar or substitute raw turbinado sugar
Directions
- Place pears in a bowl and cover with water to soften. Let sit for 3-5 minutes. Drain and reserve any remaining liquid.
- In a measuring cup, place remaining liquid from rehydrating pears and add additional water to equal 2/3 of a cup. Set aside.
- Add spices to pears and stir. (Feel free to adjust seasoning to you and your family's taste, or what you have available in your pantry.) Add brown or turbinado sugar to pear mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine the 10-grain pancake mix and the 2/3 cup water/pear liquid.
- Stir in spiced pear mixture.
- Cook pancakes in a preheated griddle pan approximately 1 and a half minutes each side. Serve pancakes with maple syrup, whipped topping (if desired), and a sprinkling of cinnamon.
