Jar of Spiced Peaches (Gift Idea)

These spiced peaches are so good you will want to eat them right out of the jar! They can be served hot or cold with any kind of meat. They are also delicious over ice cream, waffles, pancakes or some kind of crepe.

Ingredients
- 2 c. THRIVE Peach Slices FD - Break dry slices into 2 or 3 pieces
- 2 tbsp. Orange Bliss or orange drink
- 2 c. Water
- 2 tbsp. White Sugar
- 1 tbsp. White Vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. Ground Ginger
- 1/16 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
- 1/16 tsp. Ground Cloves
- 1/2 tsp. Cornstarch
Directions
- In a medium pot, start refreshing the peaches with the water and orange bliss while you measure the rest of the ingredients.
- Add remaining 7 ingredients, heat and stir until the mixture boils and the sugar dissolves.
- You may want to whisk the corn starch with about a tablespoon of water before adding it into the peaches (to prevent clumping).
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Cool completely. Place in jar with tight-fitting lid. (Makes about 1 cup or 250 ml).
- If giving as a gift, add label with recipe description e.g. "Serve hot or cold with any kind of meat. Also delicious over ice cream. Store in refrigerator for up to seven days."
