Ingredients

  • 2 c. THRIVE Sausage Crumbles
  • 1/2 c. Warm water
  • 2 c. White Flour (All Purpose Unbleached Flour)
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Iodized Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 2 Eggs or THRIVE Scrambled Egg Mix
  • 2 c. Buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Combine sausage crumbles and warm water; allow to sit for 15-20 minutes to rehydrate.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix eggs, milk, and oil together with a whisk until well blended.
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Do not over-mix. Drain any excess water from sausage. Pat dry with paper towels. Add sausage to pancake batter and stir to incorporate.
  4. Pour on hot, greased griddle and cook on both sides till golden brown.
