Directions

  1. Put all ingredients except the Velouté in a pot and add 5 cups of hot water. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Put pot on medium heat stove and let simmer for about 4-5 minutes. Turn off heat.
  3. Stir in the Velouté.
  4. If you want to thicken the soup, mix a tablespoon of flour with 2 tablespoons of water and stir into the hot soup.
  5. Put lid on pot and let sit 5 minutes before serving.
